Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before fuel level sensor check completely fill a tank with gasoline.
2. On cars of 1988-90 find the socket which is near a tank, on cars from 1991 of release remove a back seat and a hatch cover.
3. Disconnect the fuel level sensor socket.
4. Measure resistance of the sensor between conclusions.
5. At completely filled tank resistance should be 17 Ohms (1988-90) or 3 Ohm on cars since 1991.
6. At an empty tank resistance should be 120 Ohms (1988-90) or 110 Ohm on cars since 1991.
7. Replace the sensor if resistance differs from the specified.
8. The sensor can be checked also, having removed it from a tank. Measure resistance at completely lowered float (a tank empty) and in the extreme top provision of a float (a full tank).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove from a fuel tank the pump assembled with the sensor.
2. Incline and carefully get the sensor.
3. Disconnect the socket, unscrew screws of fastening and remove the sensor.
4. The sensor is established upside-down.
