Prevention
Malfunction of the engine (capacity loss), the wrong adjustments, refusals of hydraulic system of transmission, mechanical drive and processor control system can be the main reasons for abnormal work of transmission. First of all it is necessary to check level and a liquid condition, to adjust drafts. If these measures do not lead to positive result, it is necessary to address in car-care center.
Preliminary checks

| 1. Warm up transmission, having made a trip. |
| 2. Check level and a liquid condition. |
| 3. If level is lower than norm, restore level and check leak existence (see below). |
| 4. If level is higher than norm, merge a part of liquid and check existence of pollution by cooling liquid which could get because of leak in a radiator. |
| 5. If spumescence is found, merge liquid and replace. |
| 6. Check turns of idling of the engine. If necessary execute repair and adjust, as further check of transmission is not meaningful. |
| 7. Believe adjustment and work of a mechanical drive of transmission. |

Check of a condition of transmission on leakage of liquid
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The leak of liquid is easily established visually and eliminated with replacement of epiploons or laying. |
| 2. For detection of a slabozametny leak park the car after a trip on some km over a blank sheet of a cardboard or paper. Later about 2 mines to flow it is possible to find. |
| 3. Immediately clear a case and check a condition of consolidations in suspected places. |
| 4. If the leak thus is not found, carefully wash out a case solvent and dry. |
| 5. Make a trip and attentively examine a case. |
| 6. If the place of a leak is established, define the reason of a leak and a way of repair (for example, it is impossible to eliminate with replacement of laying a leak if the demountable planes сдеформированы). |
| 7. Before elimination of a leak analyse the leak reasons, provide elimination described below malfunctions. |
Prevention
Some types of works on elimination of the following malfunctions can be executed only in car-care center as the special tool and a certain qualification is required.

LEAK FROM UNDER LAYING
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Periodically check a condition of the pallet of transmission, an inhaling of bolts, a condition of the demountable plane of the pallet and laying. |
| 2. Increase of pressure or liquid level owing to a contamination of ventilating openings, deformations of the pallet or its demountable plane, discrepancy of applied brand of hermetic recommended, defects of molding of the pallet can be the leak reasons from under laying of the pallet. |

LEAK FROM UNDER THE EPIPLOON
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The leak of an epiploon can be caused increases of pressure or liquid level owing to a contamination of ventilating openings, the wrong installation of an epiploon, injury of a condensed neck of a shaft or wear of the bearing. |
| 2. Check periodically tightness of consolidation of a branch pipe of the index and a speedometer reducer. |
| 3. At detection of a leak replace a sealing ring. |

CASE LEAK
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The leak of a case is caused by defects of molding, in this case repair or replace a case. |
| 2. Check reliability of fastening of hoses of a cooler of liquid. |
|
LEAK FROM SAPUN OR REFUELING BRANCH PIPE
The leak from сапуна indicates transmission overflow, hit of cooling liquid, porosity of a material of a case, the wrong provision of the index, a contamination of ventilating and drainage channels.
Tests in road conditions
TEST AT POSITION OF THE SELECTOR IN DRIVE RANGE
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Transfer the selector to a range of DRIVE and disperse the car. |
| 2. Switch the selector in provisions 1-2, 2-3 or 3–OD. |
| 3. The hydrotransformer should be blocked on the 1st or 2nd transfers, or on an OD broadcast. Press a butterfly valve pedal on 3/4 courses – there should be a switching on a low gear. |

TEST AT POSITION OF THE SELECTOR IN RANGE 2 RANGE
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Transfer to movement time transmission in the situation RANGE 2. |
| 2. Transmission should be switched immediately to a low gear, return switching in the situation Overdrive should not be. |
| 3. Check switching on a low gear at partial and complete opening of a butterfly valve. |

| 2. Check transmission work. |

| 2. Turns of the engine should increase, the effect of braking should be felt. |

BACKING

| 1. Transfer the selector to the situation REVERSE. |
| 2. Check transmission work. |

General checks
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Check serviceability and engine adjustments. |
| 2. Check adjustment of a cable of a butterfly valve. |
| 3. Check a condition of hoses and transmission conducting. |
| 4. Check adjustment of the selector of transmission. |
| 5. If after these checks abnormal work of transmission is still observed, address in car-care center for pressure check in the transmission highway. |
