5.1.9. Service of an exhaust system

GENERAL INFORMATION

The exhaust system consists of a final collector (or 2 collectors), catalytic converter, the exhaust silencer, connecting pipes and suspension bracket details (arms, collars, pillows). The exhaust system fastens to a body through arms and rubber pillows. At failure of any of system details operation of the engine is accompanied by the increased noise.

The damaged details are not subject to repair, it is necessary to replace them.

For removal of the damaged details of an exhaust system it is necessary to use autogenous cutting, it is independently possible to saw off a hacksaw on metal.
