PERFORMANCE ORDER

Prevention

Caps of channels of system of cooling are densely pressed in the block of cylinders.


1. Remove covers with loose leaves, designate from and store separately.
2. Carefully clear the block of the consolidation remains.
3. Drill block caps (to turn out them it is almost impossible), banish a carving and at assembly establish new caps.
4. Beat out caps of channels of cooling.
5. Get caps flat-nose pliers.
6. At a strong zanryazneniye of the block clean all channels a vapor jet and the compressed air (it is recommended to carry out in car-care center), wash out the block outside detergent. Banish all carving openings, clean and blow the compressed air. Dry the block and grease.
7. Banish all carvings of the block of cylinders, having cleared thereby of dirt.
8. Establish covers of radical bearings, bolts tighten by hand.
9. Press new caps without distortions, previously having greased them with Permatex N2 hermetic. Wrap on the same hermetic new caps of oil channels. Densely tighten caps.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At detection of outer defects (cracks and chips), repair the block or replace. It is recommended to check existence of internal defects in the block of cylinders for what it is necessary to hand over the block in car-care center.
2. Check a surface condition, a gap between the piston and the cylinder, ovality and a konusnost of cylinders, having measured diameter in three planes, in the directions parallel and perpendicular block axes. If results differ from standard, cylinders should be chiseled. After boring of the block pistons and rings of the repair sizes will be necessary.
3. In the absence of a nutromer the gap can be checked special щупами in the length about 300 mm. Insert the piston into the corresponding cylinder and check a piston stroke, laying щуп on the main rubbing surfaces (in the direction of a finger and perpendicular to a finger).
4. The gap is defined by thickness щупа at which the piston moves in the cylinder under moderate effort. If the piston fails or slides, the gap is higher norms and the piston it is necessary to replace, and the cylinder прошлифовать. If the piston jams at situation щупа about NMT and slides at situation щупа about VMT, the konusnost of the cylinder exceeds norm. If at piston turn in the cylinder with laid shchupy the piston jams, ovality of the cylinder exceeds norm.
5. Standard diameter (dimensional group) piston of the engine 1FZ-FE is determined by marking on the piston bottom (groups 1, 2 or 3, see fig. Numbers of dimensional groups of pistons in each of cylinders). Number on the piston should coincide with number on the block corresponding to this cylinder.
6. If a condition of cylinders accepted, wear of the cylinder and a gap between the cylinder and the piston do not exceed the established norms, cylinders it is required only отхоннинговать (see subsection 3.3.7.6).
7. For a considerable part of engines pistons and loose leaves (the crankshaft and a cam-shaft) are provided the repair sizes. On blocks of cylinders of these engines there are alphabetic references.
