3.3.5. Removal and engine installation


1. Execute a decompression of fuel system and disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the air filter.
3. Merge cooling liquid.
4. Designate and disconnect from the engine all sockets of conducting, vacuum and fuel hoses. The disconnected hoses reliably muffle.
5. Designate and disconnect from the engine hoses of system of cooling.
6. Remove a radiator, the fan with a casing and all belts of a drive.
7. Disconnect on the engine cables of a butterfly valve and cruise control (if it is provided, see subsection 5.1.7).
8. On the cars equipped with the hydraulic booster, unscrew bolts of the pump of the hydraulic booster (see subsection 9.12). Take the pump aside and fix a wire, without disconnecting hoses. The pump not to overturn.
9. On the cars equipped with the conditioner, unscrew bolts of fastening and take the compressor aside. Hoses not to disconnect.
10. Merge from the engine oil.
11. Remove a starter and the generator.
12. (Would) disconnect from the engine an exhaust pipe.
13. On the cars equipped with automatic transmission, unscrew bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a leading disk (see subsection 7.2.1).
14. Substitute under prop transmission, having laid a board.
15. Attach таль the lift to hooks on the engine, choose a waist weak point.
16. Unscrew bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine.
17. Unscrew bolts of fastening of support of the engine to a frame.
18. Be convinced that all details connecting the engine to a body or transmission, are removed. All remained details designate and remove.
19. Carefully raise the engine and separate from transmission. Fix the hydrotransformer on automatic transmission. On a manual transmission deduce primary shaft of a check point from coupling.
20. Carefully raise the engine from a motor compartment, watching to hooking on wires or hoses.
21. Remove a flywheel (or a leading disk of the hydrotransformer) and establish the engine on the stand.


1. Check a condition of support of the engine. At detection of damages or wear tracks of a support replace.
2. On cars from a manual transmission check a coupling condition, it is recommended to replace coupling.
3. Carefully lower the engine in a motor compartment, having tracked that support became in a place.
4. On cars with automatic transmission, perform the works described in subsection 7.2.8.
5. On cars from a manual transmission slightly grease shlitsa of primary shaft and enter a shaft into a frictional disk and directing bearing so that the case of a check point adjoined to the block of cylinders on all perimeter.
6. Tighten bolts of fastening of transmission with the set moment.
7. Further assembly is carried out upside-down.
8. Fill the engine with liquid and oil, restore level of oil (liquid) in transmission and in the hydraulic booster.
9. Start the engine, check operation of the engine and be convinced of lack of leaks. Carry out tests in road conditions.
