7.4.5. Back (forward) bridge

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and establish on supports under a body.
2. Remove wheels.
3. Remove brake details.
4. On a forward axis disconnect steering drafts.
5. Disconnect from a bridge reducer the driveshaft.
6. Disconnect the stabilizer of cross-section stability (if it is provided).
7. Disconnect from the bridge a cross-section bar (if it is provided).
8. Deduce a cable of the hand brake from assembly brackets of the back bridge, remove cable arms (see subsection 8.14).
9. Disconnect the socket from the sensor of speed (on cars with ABS system).
10. Disconnect and muffle hoses and tubes of a hydraulic actuator of brakes.
11. Disconnect from the back bridge the loading sensor (if it is provided).
12. Slightly will hang out the bridge, having substituted under it 2 jacks.
13. Disconnect shock-absorbers.
14. Remove springs (if are provided, see subsection 9.5).
15. On cars with springs unscrew bolts of step-ladders of springs and remove fastening plates.
16. Unscrew bolts of levers of springs and remove springs.
Prevention

After a detachment of springs the bridge becomes loose. Ask the assistant to support the bridge on jacks.
17. On the cars equipped with springs of a back suspension bracket, disconnect from the bridge the bottom levers (keep in mind that after that the bridge becomes loose).
18. Carefully lower the bridge and roll out from under the car.
19. Installation of the bridge is carried out upside-down.
20. Tighten all fastenings with the set moments.
