Prevention

On cars of 1980-87 as the shaper of an initial signal the Hall sensor is used. Check of the sensor is carried out in car-care center.

1. Disconnect the socket from the distributor and measure resistance between conclusions of the induction sensor.
2. Compare results of measurements to the values specified in subsection 3.4.1. If the measured resistance differ from standard values, the sensor replace.
Gap check between the sensor and a rotor
3. Disconnect the battery from weight.
4. Remove the distributor (see subsection 3.4.6).
5. Brass shchupy measure a gap between a rotor and a ledge of the induction sensor (see fig. Gap check between a rotor and a ledge of the induction sensor (1980-87), gap Check in the induction sensor on cars of 1988-92 and gap Check in the induction sensor on cars since 1993). If the gap differs from standard, on cars of 1980-87 release screws and establish a gap, on cars since 1988 replace the distributor as the gap is not subject to adjustment (increase in a gap against norm it is usually caused by wear of the plug of the distributor).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the distributor (see subsection 3.4.6).
3. Unscrew screws of fastening of the induction sensor (are specified by shooters).
4. Remove the induction sensor.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down. Adjust a gap in the sensor.
