Cистема of a charge consists of the generator of an alternating current, a regulator of tension, a chain of a control lamp of a charge, the battery, a fusible crossing point and connecting wires. At collaboration of these devices a food of such consumers as ignition system, lighting and alarm system devices, a radio receiver is provided, etc. The drive of the generator is carried out from a belt.

Generators of 1980-87 are equipped with the built-in regulator of tension which is mounted sideways on the generator case, access to it is possible without generator removal.

The tension regulator on generators of 1988-92 is mounted on the rectifier in the generator case.

On cars since 1993 the regulator is executed at the same time with knot of a shchetkoderzhatel, access to a regulator is provided after removal of the generator and a back cover.

Cars of 1980-87 are equipped with the ignition relay through which a food on safety locks of a chain of a charge and ignition moves.

Cars of 1988-92 are equipped with the relay which provides fire of a control lamp at an insufficient charge of the battery. On cars since 1993 additional safety locks and fusible inserts which provide tracking of integrity of various sites of a chain of a charge are provided.

The regulator of tension is intended for maintenance of tension of the generator at the set level. At sharp increase of tension on a generator exit the regulator prevents current and overload throws in a power-supply circuit.

Periodic care of charge system as a rule it is not required. However, it is necessary to examine periodically a belt of a drive of the generator, the battery and connecting wires.

The control lamp of a charge on the dashboard lights up at inclusion of ignition and after start-up of the engine dies away. If the lamp does not die away after engine start-up, in a chain of a charge is faulty. Some cars are equipped with the voltmeter. If the voltmeter shows very high or very low voltage, the chain of a charge needs check.

Precautionary measures

At connections of wires of an internal chain of the car and external devices it is necessary to observe the following precautionary measures.

At connection of the battery with the generator always observe polarity of connection.

Before repair of any site of the car by electric welding disconnect wires from the generator and from a battery conclusion.

Is inadmissible to start the engine at the connected charger.

Before charger connection always disconnect cables of a chain of the car from both poles of the battery.

The generator is attached directly to the battery therefore at a zakorachivaniye of conclusions of the generator, or at its overload, formation of an arch and a fire is possible.

Before engine washing by a vapor jet cover the generator a polyethylene film and fix a film a rubber bandage.
