GENERAL INFORMATION

Installation of the party of a block And

1. Left wheel
2. Right wheel
3. To a forward part of the car

The provision of blocks after assembly

1. Left wheel
2. Right wheel
3. To a forward part of the car

Prevention

Blocks change only in a set on one axis.

Together with blocks coupling springs which, being exposed to periodic thermal loadings change also, gradually lose elasticity and do not provide sufficient branch of a block from a drum. As a result the drum touches blocks, causing their premature wear.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Release nuts of wheels, lift back (or a lobby) a part of the car.
2. Remove wheels.
3. Release the hand brake.
4. Designate position of a drum, unscrew screws (if are provided) and remove a drum.
5. If the drum does not give in to removal, fill in between hairpins of a flange of a semi-axis and drum openings getting liquid and обстучите a drum from the inside on a contour.
6. If this measure does not give result, reduce blocks.
7. For this purpose on brakes with a horizontal arrangement of blocks get a cap from a board of a brake and rotate a regulator cogwheel a screw-driver.
8. On brakes with a vertical arrangement of blocks take away a screw-driver with a narrow edge the regulator lever from a cogwheel and rotate a regulator cogwheel other screw-driver.
Brake with horizontally located blocks
9. Remove a coupling spring.
10. Remove clamping springs of blocks, having pressed a cup and having turned on 90 °.
11. Remove blocks together with the bottom spring.
12. Grease rubbing surfaces of a block from a board with refractory greasing and establish blocks upside-down.
13. The party of a block And establish according to fig. Installation of the party of a block And.
Brake with vertically located blocks
14. Remove the top spring.
15. Remove a clamping spring, having pressed a cup and having turned on 90 °, and remove a back block.
16. Disconnect a clamping spring and remove a forward block assembled with a regulator. Get flat-nose pliers a cable of the hand brake from the lever.
17. Remove from a forward block a spring of the lever of a regulator.
18. Remove a regulator.
19. Remove a lock washer and get the regulator lever.
20. Remove a bracket and remove the lever of the hand brake.
21. Establish on a new forward block the lever of the hand brake and press out a bracket. Establish the lever of a regulator and a cutting lock washer (a washer and a bracket replace).
22. Grease rubbing surfaces of a block from a board with refractory greasing.
23. Grease regulator details with refractory greasing, screw a regulator hairpin in a strut.
24. Establish blocks upside-down.
25. The provision of blocks after assembly should look definitely (see fig. The provision of blocks after assembly).
26. Clear a drum and check a surface condition.
27. Check ovality of a drum, at strong damages a drum pierce, small roughnesses are ground by a skin.
28. If after a pro-point internal diameter of a drum appears more limiting (it is specified on a drum), a drum replace.
29. Establish a drum and check brake adjustment.
30. If the gap between blocks and a drum is too great, remove a drum and rotating a wheel of a hairpin dissolve blocks to a contact of a surface of a drum.
31. Reduce blocks that they did not touch a drum (it is checked aurally) a little.
32. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
33. Make some braking, moving forward and a backing.
34. Before departure check work of brakes.
