3.2.2. Types of repair without engine dismantle

GENERAL INFORMATION

Without removal of the engine from the car it is possible to perform the following works:

 – to replace laying and epiploons;
 – to remove hinged knots and units for replacement or repair;
 – to execute repair (or replacement) heads of cylinders, the oil pump, the mechanism of a drive of valves, details of a drive of hinged units;
 – adjusting works.

Repair or replacement of rings, shatunno-piston group is recommended to be carried out after engine dismantle as a preparatory work be required.
