3.1.3. Installation of the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

It is meant that works are carried out at the correct installation of the distributor of ignition (if the distributor is provided).

If it is necessary to redeem the correct position of the distributor, determine an engine step by feeling of a compression in the 1st cylinder at the turned-out candle then combine labels of the moment of ignition (see below).

The order of installation is identical to engines 2F, 3F-E and dvukhvalny verkhneklapanny 1FZ-FE.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation of the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT of a step of compression is necessary for performance of adjusting and adjustment works (adjustment of valves, installation of the moment of ignition, etc.).
2. Transfer the transmission selector to the situation Neutral or Park (on automatic transmission) or in neutral situation (on a manual transmission). Get the central high-voltage wire of the distributor of ignition and connect to weight.
3. The crankshaft is turned by a key for a head of a bolt of a pulley clockwise.
4. On a wire from a candle of the 1st cylinder find the corresponding conclusion on a cover of the distributor of ignition and designate risky on the case. Uncover the distributor.

5. Turn the crankshaft a key for a head of a bolt of a pulley clockwise before combination risks on a flywheel (a leading disk of the hydrotransformer) with the index (on engines 2F and 3F-E, a photo at the left) or dredging on a crankshaft pulley with a label "0" on a motionless scale (on engines 1FZ-FE, a photo on the right).
6. If the index a begunka of the distributor is opposite risks on the distributor case, the piston of the 1st cylinder is in VMT of a step of compression. If the begunok is turned on 180 ° from risks, turn the crankshaft on 1 turn then the piston of the 1st cylinder will be exposed in VMT of a step of compression. Thus labels on a scale and a pulley should be combined, and the index a begunka should be opposite the risks, designating a conclusion of the 1st cylinder.

Prevention

If to expose the piston of the 1st cylinder is in VMT of a step of compression thus it is not possible, the reasons are the wrong installation of the distributor of ignition, gear wheels or a chain of a drive of a cam-shaft.


7. Designate conclusions of other wires according to an engine operating procedure. Turning the crankshaft further clockwise concerning position VMT of the 1st cylinder, it is possible to expose the piston of each cylinder in VMT, combining a begunok with labels of conclusions.
