Prevention
At performance of service of fuel system observe fire safety regulations. On cars with injector engines any hoses disconnect after performance of actions for a decompression.
The fuel system is best of all for checking, when the car is raised by a telfer or established on supports to provide access to details from the bottom.
If during driving or after a car parking under the sun the gasoline smell is felt, the fuel system needs urgent careful check.
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Unscrew a stopper of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank and check on it existence of traces of corrosion and laying damage. If necessary a stopper replace. |
| 2. Check, being under the car, a condition of a tank and a mouth pipe. Especially attentively examine connection of a mouth with a tank. Existence of punctures, cracks and mechanical damages is not allowed. |
| 3. Carefully examine all rubber hoses and the tubes departing from a tank. Check reliability of connections, existence on hoses of wear tracks, a perezhatiya and other damages. Especially carefully check a condition of ventilating tubes and hoses of a tank which often wind a mouth and are pressed or get littered. Track a condition of hoses on all their length, to a forward part of the car. The damaged sites of pipelines replace. |
| 4. If after checks the gasoline smell is still felt, check catching system паров (see subsection 2.23). |
