| 1. High-voltage wires of spark plugs should be checked (and if necessary to change) at the same time with replacement of candles. |
| 2. The simplest way of check consists in survey of wires on the working engine in the blacked-out garage. At detection of a luminescence (breakdown) of a wire replace. Check a condition of a cover and a distributor begunka. |
| 3. For check and cleaning of wires disconnect each wire separately. On cars of late releases it is required to remove a slip on a cover of a head of cylinders. Disconnect a wire on a distributor cover. Check a condition of contacts of wires and sealants. Wipe wires. A wire strongly do not bend, as the current-carrying vein can break. At detection of cracks, traces of breakdown and a podgoraniye of a wire replace. |
| 4. Check corrosion existence on sockets of tips of wires (from both parties) and conclusions of candles. Check durability of demountable connection, having dressed on a candle a tip of a wire and having shaken it. At leaky connection draw in contact petals. |

5. Unscrew screws of fastening and uncover the ignition distributor. Wipe a cover absolutely and check existence in and outside of a cover of cracks, traces of superficial breakdown (the thin charred paths), wear, a podgoraniye and weakening of contacts (see fig. Characteristic defects of a cover of the distributor). |

| 6. Take a begunok (a photo at the left) and examine in the places specified by shooters a photo on the right. |
| 7. If the old cover is established, check resistance between a conclusion of a cover and a candle. If resistance exceeds norm, replace a cover and a wire. Change each wire separately. |
